Hmm so much to update where shall I begin? Haha these weeks been really busy for me. I guess I'll just talk about my happenings today. Went Sonicfest...phew quite cool..but not quite what I was expecting. Surreal is a great band! Check them out. Local christian band that parties with their audiences out of the box totally. Planet shakers(aus) was nv my favourite. But I admire them for their God loving and humble spirit.
K enuff said about band performances that most of you guys missed. These weeks have been rough. Project is really busy. One really has to be there all the time on standby mode ready to do project with your group mates. *for those considering poly business think twice* If u not at the project meets...hor hor! U die! U screw up. Yr life's going down the drain. U can try harder next sem.
For those who knows, I'm learning drums under the singapore's best(probably mad) drummer who happens to play for all those taiwanese folks who sing pop songs. He also happens to teach that 5yr old kid who trashes the drumset at orchard. That kid's better den me man *ashamed* And the bad news is...my teacher the mad drummer is away for his projects at Taiwan again. N he got me an outta the world teacher as my replacement!
That malay relief teacher is hell funny. He threw away my drum notes on 1st lesson, saying how bullshit those stuff were n they are all not music. They are just beansprouts printed orderly into a book. He went on to ask me which level I was at. I was aparrently at low levels. He IMMEDIATELY show me some high level stuff. He said to me: THIS IS WHAT I CALL DRUMS. PRACTICE THOSE STUFF. NO MORE NONSENSE FROM THE BOOK. HOHOHO...
Fun to be learn lvl50 stuff when I'm still at lvl10 lol! He's crappy but he inspired me a wholelot on life. I really've been a guy who dreams this joins that but don't make things really happen. But this time, this Malay relief made me feel like maybe I could make my music path happen...maybe I can really do what I like for a living...
What a long post...reading my post must've felt like u were studying for your finals huh haha...hmm...Today has taught me...maybe I should learn to trust in the supernatural God to do supernatural things in my life...all along I've assumed natural stuff too much.
